Allegiant adding flights between Newark airport and Flint, Mich.

The parent company of Allegiant Air is beefing up nonstop flight offerings between Newark Liberty International Airport and Flint, Michigan starting in May.
Allegiant Travel Company made the announcement Tuesday, with introductory one-way fares starting at $49.
Seats and dates for the promotion are limited, and flights must be purchased by Wednesday for travel by July 25.
The new routes between Flint and Newark were among 44 new nonstop routes announced by the carrier on Tuesday.
“We’re excited to announce that Allegiant is expanding nationwide, offering even more travel options to our customers,” Drew Wells, the airline’s chief commercial officer, said in its announcement. “These additions reflect our ongoing commitment to meet customer demand.”
Allegiant specializes in serving small-to-medium cities with nonstop flights to leisure destinations. The airline began flying from Flint in 2016 and in 2021.
